Is Network School actually a school?

Not in the usual sense. You don't get a degree, and there's no syllabus, grading or course to enrol in. What you get is a dense calendar of optional talks, tutorials and workshops, plus a few hundred people who know things you don't. The learning is peer-to-peer and self-directed, so if you need a set curriculum and someone holding you to it, the format will frustrate you today. That is changing. Network School is partly a reimagining of the university: classes and courses are being added, and you graduate by passing an exam instead of sitting through years of study, which can take weeks or months. Pass an exam, get a job. The long-term idea is learning spread across your whole life instead of packed into your early twenties.
